The project includes replacing original window systems with new windows and infill panels designed to improve the building’s appearance and performance. As the third phase of an ongoing replacement program, the design follows the materials and detailing established during the previous phases to maintain a consistent look across the school.
The mechanical upgrades include replacing the existing unit ventilators, modifying the boilers, and adding a chiller. Because the school’s original steam piping had already been replaced, the design retained steam heating while introducing a two-pipe chilled-water system to provide cooling during the spring and summer.
