Leuterio Thomas was established in March 2000 by Hedy Leuterio Thomas as a woman owned minority small business. The company primarily started of as a structural engineering firm, but then eventually became both a full structural engineering and architectural firm. LT’s philosophy is to provide quality and excellence through hard work and dedication to the client. The company encourages the professional development of its staff and fosters an environment of care and concern to produce a design product that reflects the company’s values. Leuterio Thomas’ experience and excellence has allowed them to complete over 800 projects from small renovations to the 3000 seat theater for the MGM Resort at National Harbor, Maryland. Whatever the scale of the project, LT brings a requisite level of diligence to achieve the budget, scope and schedule. LT has the capability of designing projects of any scale and forming teams that are geographically diverse.
Hedy Leuterio Thomas attended the National University in the Philippines and graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture. She eventually came to the United States and received her Masters in Civil Engineering, specializing in structural design. For many years, Hedy worked for a few large firms early on in her career. With her vast structural design experience ranging from projects in Moscow to South Korea – she eventually made the bold move of starting her own firm. From an office in her basement with just her running the show and now an office in the National Harbor area with 15+ employees, hard work and determination surely goes a long way.
Leuterio Thomas has invested in information technology to support not only the production of construction documents through CAD, but through the application of BIM Integration to bring together design, analysis and project management allowing the entire design team to work together. At the core, LT has established NEWFORMA’s Project Center to manage and track all aspects of project management and construction management. LT utilizes Lumion and VR technology with HTC Vive to allow the client to understand through immersion.
