The twelve classrooms are organized into three pods, with four classrooms and associated storage areas or restrooms in each pod. Concrete masonry walls form the perimeter of a typical pod, while movable partitions originally divided the interior into individual classrooms.
The existing spaces contained aging mechanical units, lighting, casework, chalkboards, televisions, and other outdated classroom features. Existing flooring, ceilings, and some mechanical and plumbing materials also required evaluation and appropriate handling due to the potential presence the potential presence of asbestos.
