Project Details

The facility includes two precast concrete housing units, each containing four 64-cell wings connected to a two-story central support core. Together, the two units provide 1,024 beds across 512 cells.

Additional structures include a vehicle sally port tower, armory buildings, guard towers, perimeter fence supports, substations, and associated site infrastructure.

project scope

LT led the structural engineering effort from early design through construction. Services included developing the structural systems for the housing units, central support cores, security structures, utility buildings, and supporting site elements.

During construction, LT provided technical oversight and responded to field conditions to maintain consistency with the structural design and security requirements.

our solutions

Precast concrete construction provided a durable and efficient structural system for the repetitive housing wings while supporting the facility’s stringent security and performance requirements. The system also helped maintain consistency across the two large housing units and their individual cell wings.

Beyond the primary buildings, LT coordinated the structural requirements of specialized components throughout the secure campus, including towers, armories, substations, vehicle-control structures, and perimeter security elements.

By remaining involved from schematics through construction administration, LT provided continuity across the facility’s many interconnected structures and helped ensure the integrity of both the housing units and the broader security infrastructure.
