The project called for a state-of-the-art center that goes beyond a traditional afterschool program, providing spaces that address both academic and emotional needs for youth in the child welfare and juvenile justice systems. The design needed to reflect PLC’s mission while creating an environment conducive to healing, learning, and long-term success.
Leuterio Thomas worked closely with PLC to translate their vision into a design that supports their programmatic goals. The facility was designed to provide a safe, welcoming environment that fosters academic achievement while accommodating the specialized support services PLC offers to its students.
